It's May, but for some reason my mind is drifting to Christmas right now. There are eight stockings on our mantle at Christmas - for my husband, me, our two living children, our dog Beasley (yes, she gets her own!), and our three children in Heaven. It is one of many family traditions we have adopted over the last several years to remember the little ones who rocked our world. It is also a way, at Christmas, to bring home the reality of Heaven - that it is a real place where people we hold dear live and worship, just as we do on Earth. We may not fill the stockings with presents, but they are a visible representation of the love we share, the reality of Heaven, and the promise of eternity.
