About One in Heaven
Six-year-old Lily has two sisters - or does she have three? She remembers "some" about her sister Sarah, who was stillborn four years ago, and she sees evidence of Sarah's existence in the traditions her family has incorporated into their lives, but all this business about Heaven can be "kind of confusing". Told in Lily's voice, One in Heaven is a little girl's account of how her family keeps the memory of her baby sister alive and how her thinking about Sarah changes as a result.
Tender and uplifting, One in Heaven will help parents talk with their four-to-eight-year-old children about their siblings who were born to Heaven instead of Earth and let them see themselves as a part of a greater community of families who have moved through the grief of pregnancy loss to a place where missing and memories and joy mingle together in a strange but beautiful way. It also contains a list of resources for parents who are continuing their healing journey.
Publication date and information to be announced.
